Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fuelled by a passion for exploration and the open road. Our approach is rooted in ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment  and showcases how enjoyable weekends are in the motorhome. Get ready to learn and feel inspired!

Do you have trouble parking?

Parking can sometimes be a challenge with a motorhome, especially in busy towns or small villages. We've learned that using apps to find suitable parking spots or wild camping locations is helpful, but driving around to scout out the best parking spots often works just as well. It's all part of the adventure and we are always amazed how easy we have found it to find good parking spots in most cites.

Is it warm enough?

Absolutely! Our Peggy is pretty well-insulated, and we have a fantastic heating system that keeps us cosy even on the coldest British nights. We've invested in good electric blanket that runs off the Bluetti a real game changer! ensuring a comfortable night's sleep regardless of the weather outside.

How do you power it off grid?

We rely on a combination of a solar panel on the roof and leisure batteries, plus our Bluetti power bank to power our motorhome when we're off-grid. This setup allows us to keep our lights on, charge our devices, and run essential appliances without needing a hook-up. It's surprisingly efficient!

Is there enough room?

While motorhomes might seem compact, modern designs are incredibly clever with space. Our Pegasus roller team feels surprisingly spacious for two.  It has a fixed double bed and a pull down bed over the cab as well as a jack and Jill bathroom. We've found  we have everything we need without feeling cramped. It’s amazing what you can fit in!

Have you ever been woken up to move on?

Thankfully, it's has not happened to us yet! We always try to be respectful and discreet when wild camping or staying overnight in unofficial spots. Researching local regulations and being mindful of our surroundings helps prevent any unwelcome disturbances, allowing us to enjoy peaceful nights.

What's a typical motorhome weekend like?

A typical weekend in the motorhome for us involves driving to a new, scenic location, enjoying a walk or bike ride and if going further afield using our Livewire Harley Davison Alpinista 2. We mostly eat out but have cooked successfully in the compact kitchen. The highlight though is simply seeing new places and relaxing amidst nature. It's about disconnecting from the everyday and embracing the freedom of the road.

Do you miss home comforts?

Not really! Our motorhome feels like a mini-home with all the essentials. We've personalised it to our taste, and the joy of waking up to a different view each day far outweighs missing a larger living room. It’s a different kind of comfort, but one we truly love.

How do you choose your destinations?

We love exploring both popular beauty spots and hidden gems across the UK and beyond. Our choices are often inspired by scenic routes, interesting historical sites, or recommendations from fellow van-lifers. We'll share more about our favourite spots on our 'Our Destinations' page!
